Salmo 1

1 Le due vie

            1 Beato l’uomo che non segue il consiglio degli empi,

            non indugia nella via dei peccatori

            e non siede in compagnia degli stolti;

            2 ma si compiace della legge del Signore,

            la sua legge medita giorno e notte.

            3 Sarà come albero piantato lungo corsi d’acqua,

            che darà frutto a suo tempo

            e le sue foglie non cadranno mai;

            riusciranno tutte le sue opere.

            4 Non così, non così gli empi

            ma come pula che il vento disperde;

            5 perciò non reggeranno gli empi nel giudizio,

            né i peccatori nell’assemblea dei giusti.

            6 Il Signore veglia sul cammino dei giusti,

            ma la via degli empi andrà in rovina.

Psalm 1
1 The two ways
            1 Blessed is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked,
            does not linger in the way of sinners
            and does not sit in the company of fools;
            2 but takes delight in the law of the Lord,
            his law meditates day and night.
            3 He will be like a tree planted by streams of water,
            which will bear fruit in due time
            and its leaves will never fall;
            all his works will succeed.
            4 Not so, not so the wicked
            but like chaff that the wind scatters;
            5 therefore the wicked will not stand in judgment,
            nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
            6 The Lord watches over the path of the righteous,
            but the way of the wicked will fail.
Commentary on the video: in the joyful, exultant "Allegro" of the "Concerto grosso done for Christmas Eve" in G min by Arcangelo Corelli, the Orchestra sings with joyful tones (in the first three verses):

In the spectacular "Allegro" "the Ghosts" of the Concerto in B B Major "la Notte" by Vivaldi, the Bassoon and the Orchestra are unleashed in a vehement dialgo to tell the punishment of the "wicked":

Not so, not so the wicked: but like chaff that the wind scatters;
