Giudizio pieno e universale
[1]Al maestro del coro. Su «Non dimenticare».
Salmo. Di Asaf. Canto.
[2]Noi ti rendiamo grazie, o Dio, ti rendiamo grazie: invocando il tuo nome, raccontiamo le tue meraviglie.
[3]Nel tempo che avrò stabilito
io giudicherò con rettitudine.
[4]Si scuota la terra con i suoi abitanti,
io tengo salde le sue colonne.
[5]Dico a chi si vanta: «Non vantatevi».
E agli empi: «Non alzate la testa!».
[6]Non alzate la testa contro il cielo,
non dite insulti a Dio.
[7]Non dall’oriente, non dall’occidente,
non dal deserto, non dalle montagne
[8]ma da Dio viene il giudizio:
è lui che abbatte l’uno e innalza l’altro.
[9]Poiché nella mano del Signore è un calice
ricolmo di vino drogato.
Egli ne versa:
fino alla feccia ne dovranno sorbire,
ne berranno tutti gli empi della terra.
[10]Io invece esulterò per sempre,
canterò inni al Dio di Giacobbe.
[11]Annienterò tutta l’arroganza degli empi,
allora si alzerà la potenza dei giusti.

For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A psalm of Asaph. A song.
1 We praise you, God,
we praise you, for your Name is near;
people tell of your wonderful deeds.
2 You say, “I choose the appointed time;
it is I who judge with equity.
3 When the earth and all its people quake,
it is I who hold its pillars firm.b]
4 To the arrogant I say, ‘Boast no more,’
and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horns.c]
5 Do not lift your horns against heaven;
do not speak so defiantly.’”
6 No one from the east or the west
or from the desert can exalt themselves.
7 It is God who judges:
He brings one down, he exalts another.
8 In the hand of the Lord is a cup
full of foaming wine mixed with spices;
he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth
drink it down to its very dregs.
9 As for me, I will declare this forever;
I will sing praise to the God of Jacob,
10 who says, “I will cut off the horns of all the wicked,
but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”
Commento al filmato: questo salmo è un canto di esultanza per la Giustizia del Signore i due splendidi brani dei Concerti di Vivaldi cantano con armonie di spettacolare bellezza:

Commentary on the film: this psalm is a song of exultation for the Justice of the Lord, the two splendid pieces of Vivaldi’s Concerts sing with harmonies of spectacular beauty:

and in closing, in his last verses:
[10] But I will rejoice forever, I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. [11] I will destroy all the arrogance of the wicked, then the power of the righteous will rise.
